Ingredients for the buns

  • 1\2 tb yeast
  • 1 tb sugar,
  • ¼ cups of warm water
  • 3 tb sugar
  • 2 sticks of margarine or butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp of pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 sticks of butter/margarine
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • ½ of sugar

Ingredients for the cream cheese frosting

  • 18 ounce container of cream cheese
  • 2 tb of milk
  • 1 tb of pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar

Step By Step Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 f
  2. Combine in a small bowl 1\2 tb yeast, 1 tb sugar, ¼ cups of warm water (wait till you see bubbles so you know your yeast is alive)
  3. Add in a mixer, 3 tb sugar, 2 sticks of margarine or butter-cream together until smooth
  4. then add 2 eggs, 2 tsp of pure vanilla extract, add yeast mixture, mix
  5. add 1 tsp of salt, 3 cups flour mix well until smooth dough forms
  6. let set in fridge for 20 min
  7. Combine together 2 sticks of softened butter/margarine, ½ cup of brown sugar, 2 tb of cinnamon,1 tsp of vanilla extract, mix until smooth
  8. Roll out with dusting flour to about 12 cm thick
  9. Spread butter mixture (save 2 tb of it and set aside) out on dough and then sprinkle on top
  10. Roll it up into a log
  11. Cut about 1 ½ inches thick pieces
  12. Place pieces facing upwards in a greased 8 x 8 inch pan
  13. Let cook in oven for 20-30 min. (until dough looks done and cooked)
  14. For the cream cheese frostingadd 1/8 ounce container of cream cheese, 2 tb of milk, 1 tb of pure maple syrup, 1 ts of vanilla and 1 cup of powdered sugar, mix with an electric hand mixer until smooth
  15. Put frosting on the buns and ENJOY!
